Brazil waltz into second round
Ronaldo and his Brazilian team mates delivered a clear statement of intent to their World Cup rivals on Tuesday night with a 3-0 win over Morocco which guaranteed them safe passage to the second round. Ronaldo ended a goal drought with his first World Cup effort and Rivaldo and Bebeto joined in to turn what many hoped would be a memorable contest into a one-sided affair.

Vastic equaliser denies Chile another victory
Ivica Vastic produced a curling goal from nowhere two minutes into time added on to earn Austria a 1-1 draw against Chile in their World Cup group `B' match yesterday. Earlier, Marcelo Salas had put Chile ahead in the 70th minute from an Ivan Zamorano header, for his third goal of the tournament.

England, South Africa go into second Test with copious worries
South African selectors have kept their options open for the second Test against England beginning today. Opener Gehardus Liebenberg could make way for Adam Bacher or in all-rounder Brian McMillan. Meanwhile, England has recalled Graeme Hick and veteran wicketkeeper Jack Russell to its squad.
