Police net bear on the loose

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
MUMBAI, JUNE 21: After cutting free from its leash, a bear attacked its master, spreading panic in Dindoshi on Saturday evening.

Said inspector T S Loni, the incident took place near Sai Baba Temple. A madari failed to control his pet bear which went on a scratching spree and even tried to bite the master. Sensing danger the animal keeper fled leaving the animal loose.

People scared of the wild animal summoned the police and the fire brigade who threw a net around the animal after pinning her with high powered water jet. A veterinarian fired an anesthesia dart at the bear which is cooling its heels in Borivli park.
