Bangalore don charged in dowry case

BANGALORE, June 19: An instance of an assistant professor of a local engineering college allegedly cheating a girl by arranging her marriage with a married man with a 10-year-old son, has come to tne light. Prof M Venkatarama Reddy, assistant professor of mechanical engineering at Bangalore Institute of Technology here, against whom a chargesheet has been filed in a local court by police, arranged his brother-in-law Subramanya's marriage with Sathyalakshmi, a resident of Cambridge Layout in Ulsoor. Yhe marriage took place on June 23, 1996.
