Loveology

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
Okay, so I cannot keep away from the topic of Akshay Kumar and his love life. The guy really knows how to stay the talk of the town. Whether it's his engagement to Shilpa Shetty or the interviews he gives, try opening a newspaper or magazine without Akki prominently splashed all over. Fine, we have no problem with that -- after all, he needs all the help he can get to revive his flagging career. But he must learn to remember what he says otherwise he shows up as a liar.

In a recent interview he said that he had been in love only twice and Shilpa was his third time. Oh, Please! We recreate Akki's love graph for all the world to see:
Didn't he start out with someone called Anu Pal when he was just a struggling star? Now, if he wasn't in love then why did he see her for almost five years?

Then came a brief fling with model Dimple Varma (another unknown face), or say the grapevine said. Who should we believe?

Then it was time to move on and he did. With Ayesha Jhulka. They even had a hit film Khiladi in the same phase. How's that for chemistry?

Enter Pooja Batra. It was time for some confessions after loads of denials. But she took him to the cleaners, as they would say. The lissome lass made sure the world knew about him and her.

The media was already buzzing with stories about his liaison with Mamta Kulkarni. But she got nowhere. Exit Pooja, enter Raveena Tandon -- at an outdoor and the love story apparently ended, right there.

Now it was Raveena Tandon. Or so we thought. And then we didn't. We idiots in the media got what we deserved. We shouldn't have believed him when he said he didn't know Raveena but we did. He fooled us, so did Raveena. Now they were on, now they were off. The less said about this the better.

Okay, so these the almost-official affairs. What about the liasons he says were purely media created -- Ashwini Bhave, Rekha and Sushmita Sen. So, what if the little bird that told us this got tired of tweeting. There was even this time when Shilpa Shetty's mother went on record and said that Akki had proposed to her daughter?

Phew. This may not be the end to his pyaar ki kahani but let me tell you, we are getting tired. And running out of fingers to keep track of loverboy and his amours.
