"Matador" powers Mexico into 2nd round
Mexico clawed back a 2-2 draw with a last gasp goal from `El Matador' Luis Hernandez against The Netherlands today to make sure of qualification from World Cup Group `E'. The result confirmed the Dutch as group winners.

The Dutch went off to a flying start with two goals in the first 20 minutes but relaxed in the second half and allowed the Mexicans to come back into the game.

Paraguay clip Super Eagles' wings
Paraguay qualified for the second round of the World Cup last night after a fabulous 20 metre shot from striker Miguel Benitez set them on the way to 3-1 win over Nigeria in the teams' final Group D game. The Espanyol star took one touch to control the ball before smacking it into the back of the net via the underside of the bar in the 59th minute.

Agassi and Moya join the casualty list
Wimbledon lost one of its greatest draws on Friday when Andre Agassi was hustled out of the second round by German Tommy Haas in four sets. The ever-popular Agassi, champion in 1992 and seeded 13 this year, started on Centre Court two sets to one down after the match had been halted in fading light. The Las Vegas showman was joined in the doldrums by French Open champion Carlos Moya who tumbled to another claycourt specialist in Hicham Arazi of Morocco.
