Indians have a good day

The winner of the Andorra Open, GM Alexey Kuzmin of Russia, however, survived some anxious moments before overcoming Puvili Antonio of Spain.

More tackling curbs for 2002
The findings of the widest medical study into sports injuries ever undertaken will be released after the World Cup and could result in further restrictions on tackling for the next tournament in Asia in 2002. Controversial guidelines introduced at France 98 cracking down on the tackle from behind could be widened to include side-on tackling just beyond the players's field of vision.

Goalkeeper Taffarel plots Brazil's escape to victory
Brazil's Taffarel saved two penalties to give the champions a 4-2 shoot-out victory over the Netherlands and a place in the World Cup final after a gripping semifinal ended 1-1.
