Morocco's Belqola to officiate finalFIFA said they have selected Morocco's Said Belqola, a 41-year-old customs inspector, to referee Sunday's World Cup final between defending champions Brazil and hosts France at the Stade de France. Belqola officiated the Germany v United States tie on June 15 at the Parc des Princes as well as the June 26 match between Argentina and Croatia at Bordeaux.
Marc Warren of England and South Africa's Achmat Salie will be Belqola's assistants, with Saudi Arabia's Abdel Rahmane el Zeid as reserve referee.Paraguay's Epifanio Chavez will referee the third place play-off match on Saturday between Holland and Croatia at the Parc des Princes with Vanuatu's Lencie Fred and Malta's Emmanuel Zammit running the line.
Urs Meier of Switzerland will be reserve referee.
