NAGPUR, July 16: Kunal Solanki of Western Railway caused the biggest upset in the 46th All- India Inter-Railway Table Tennis Championship, being played here at the YMCA Robertson hall, stunning second seed and former Inter-Railway champion Ganesh Kundu of Eastern Railway in the second round today.
In another upset, Prasanjeet Sarkar of South-Eastern Railway shocked eighth seed Bona Thomas John of Southern Railway 21-19, 16-21, 21-18.
Kundu went down in straight games, 20-22, 19-21. In the women's section, Avanti Sinha (ER) sidelined Poorna Giridhar (SR) 21-16, 21-18 and Rani Chandrima (WR) routed Alpana Ghosh (Metro Railway) 21-12, 21-11.
