PUNE, July 16: A student, residing in a hostel located near the BMCC in Shivajinagar area, yesterday stabbed one of the fellow hostelites to avenge his alleged ragging.
PUNE, July 16: A student, residing in a hostel located near the BMCC in Shivajinagar area, yesterday stabbed one of the fellow hostelites to avenge his alleged ragging.
The injured hostelite, Piyushkumar K Shah (20), has been admitted to a private hospital.
The police said Sumit Dilipbhai Shah and his unidentified accomplice stabbed Piyushkumar at building number 4 of the hostel around 8.30 pm. The FIR stated that Sumit nursed a grudge after Piyushkumar and his friends taunted him over the qualifications of his father on Monday. Piyushkumar, Bhandari and Singi were standing in the hostel corridors when they were attacked, it added. The police have launched a hunt to track down the alleged assailant.
