EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE

CHENNAI, July 17: The Tamil Nadu Congress Committee (TNCC) has ruled out talks with the Tamil Maanila Congress (TMC) on the coordination offer made by the latter in April.

TNCC president Tindivanam K Ramamurthy said he will not recognise the TMC as a political party since it had broken away from the Congress.

He said it was Moopanar who declared weeks ago that the Congress was the only secular force in the country to form an alternative Government. As Moopanar left the Congress on his own, Ramamurthy said he will leave it to Moopanar to decide on the modality of coming back to the Congress.
