In-laws booked for maltreatment
In-laws booked for maltreatment
Sona Devi, a resident of Sector 2 Panchkula, today registered a case against her husband Dinesh Mittal, father-in-law Som Dutt, mother-in-law Prakashvati and brother-in-law Babloo, for harassing her for dowry. Sona Devi also alleged that she was being maltreated by her in-laws. The police have registered a case under Sections 406 and 498 of the IPC.

Shopkeeper booked for black marketing
On the basis of a complaint filed by Khilawan Ram, inspector, Food and Supplies, the city police have registered a case against Super Provision store in Hallomajra for allegedly black marketing wheat. The case has been registered under Sections 7, 10 and 55 of the Essential Commodities Act.

Maruti car lifted from Sector 27
A. K. Badra, a resident of Sector 27 reported to the police that his Maruti car, CH-01-B-3394, was stolen from his residence. The police have registered a case.

Official letters stolen from IGP's office
An official letter was reportedly stolen from the office of the IGP Jails, Haryana, located at Mani Majra. The police have registered a case on the basis of a complaint filed by Geeta Rani, a clerk in the office, and investigations are on.

Cyclist hurt in accident
A cyclist, Warla Swami, was reportedly hit by a truck, CH-01-R-7977, driven by Surat Ram, near the Railway light point here. Swami was injured and admitted to the GMC Hospital in Sector 32. The police have arrested the driver and booked him under Sections 279 and 337 of the IPC. The truck has also been confiscated, it was added.

Mobike stolen
Naresh Sharda, a resident of Sector 29, reported that his Yamaha motorcycle, HR-03-A-8138, was stolen from Sector 45. The police have registered a case.

Girl duped
Suman Garg, a resident of New Delhi, has reported to the police that she was cheated to the tune of Rs 2 lakh by one Vishawnath Atre, resident of Mani Majra, pertaining to the sale of a flat in the town. The police have booked Atre for breach of trust.

Two boys miising
Two boys were reported missing after they both failed in the matric examination. The boys are Bhunesh Kumar, 15, a resident of Sector 15 of Panchkula who failed in two subjects and Anil Kumar Bagri, 20, a resident of Phase II of Industrial area. Police have registered cases.

Burglary in Sector 16
Police have registered a case on the complaint of J. C. Khanna, a resident of Sector 16, Panchkula, who reported that his house had been burgled. He said the thieves decamped with a TV set, two stereos and other household goods.
