23 injured as bus hits tree

NEW DELHI, July 17: Twenty-three people were injured when a bus hit a tree at the Sardar Patel-Boulliver Marg intersection around 10.30 a.m. today. The vehicle climbed over the pavement and hit the tree after the brakes failed.

NEW DELHI, July 17: Twenty-three people were injured when a bus hit a tree at the Sardar Patel-Boulliver Marg intersection around 10.30 a.m. today. The vehicle climbed over the pavement and hit the tree after the brakes failed.

The injured were taken to hospital from where they were discharged after first-aid.

Two of the injured, Bhagwan Das and Babu Ram, have been admitted to the Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital. Their condition is reportedly stable.

The bus bearing number plate DL 1P 0297, was plying on route M-8 between R.K.Puram and the Inter State Bus Terminus.
