Let people decide on Udham Nagar -- Tohra
The government should leave it to the people of Udham Singh Nagar to decide whether the district should remain with Uttar Pradesh or form part of the proposed Uttaranchal state, senior Akali Dal leader and SGPC president G S Tohra has said.

Cash-starved Pakistan has decided to take the United States to the court for non-delivery of 28 F-16 fighter planes and to recover $ 658 million which it had paid to Washington nearly a decade ago for the consignment.

Govt prohibits Godse shows
Taking heed of the Centre's advice, the Maharashtra Cabinet has decided to prohibit the performances of the controversial play Me Nathuram Godse Boltoy for an indefinite period. Significantly, Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray expressed surprise at the same advise and suggested that objectionable parts in the play should be censored instead of banning it in toto.
