NEW DELHI, July 19: Hindustan Football Club and Youngsters posted victories in group A and B respectively in the DSA-SAIL Senior Division Football League here on Sunday.

Hindustan Club drubbed Shahdara 4-0 after leading 2-0 at the interval.

Hindustan players combined well and started the game at a fast pace. They mounted heavy pressure against their opponents. Mid-fielder Mohd. Khalid pat his side ahead in the thirrd minute and a minute later striker Amarjit Singh Sahani increased the lead. Shahdara boys looked a disjoined lot and lacked in punch.

On changing ends, Hindustan's outside-left H.S. Rawat scored a brace, stricking in the 32nd and 40th minute to complete the tally.

At the Nehru Stadium, Youngsters Club prevailed over Indian Air Force (Palam) 1-0 to earn full points. The all-important goal was scored by Raj Kumar in the 11th minute. In another match, Collegians were held to a goalless draw by Garhwal Heroes to split points. Collegians have gathered six points from seven matches while Garhwal Heroes have five from seven.

Delhi Students and Royal Rangers played a goalless draw at the Nehru Stadium in a group A match. Both teams got a few scoring chances but their forwards failed to captialise. Delhi Students have three points from eight matches while Royal Rangers have four from seven.
