Bajpai leaves for West Indies on August 2.
Bajpai, a senior professor of the Department of History in the MSU, has been selected for the post of the visiting professor, after applications were invited from professors of various universities of the country and later approved by the the selection team of the University Appointments Committee.
Bajpai would be teaching modern Indian History and South Asian affairs to the students of the university of West Indies.
Speaking about her assignment Bajpai said, ``Students in other countries may not be interested to know about the history of India, but as there is a large Indian population in Trinidad, it would be more relevant to talk to them about the socio-economic conditions of this country.'' The students would also be taught about the social and cultural history of modern India, she added.
