MUMBAI, July 24: The police arrested three persons and recovered stolen talcum powder worth Rs 1.2 lakh on Friday.
Acting on a tip-off, sleuths of the Crime Branch (Unit-VII) apprehended truck driver Gurmeet Singh Harjinder Singh in Ghatkopar, said senior inspector Vilas Tupe. Singh induced truck drivers to loot trucks heading out of the city. The goods were then disposed off through a broker Ramesh Thakkar who was traced to a godown at Bhat Bazaar in Masjid Bunder. Police nabbed Kamlesh Somchand Dharamshi who had purhased the consignment for Rs 1.2 lakh.
