CHENNAI, July 24: The much-awaited Krishna waters from Andhra Pradesh finally reached Tamil Nadu on Friday, after an arduous journey across a 152 km canal from the Kandaleru reservoir in Nellore district to the Tamaraikuppam zero point near Chennai. According to the agreement between Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh a total of 5 tmc ft of water will be released to Tamil Nadu from Kandaleru dam during the course of next four months.
