Western India TT postponed
MUMBAI, July 24: The five-day Western India Table Tennis Championships, scheduled to be held at Thane from August 10-14 has been postponed, according to S M Sultan, joint secretary, Table Tennis Federation of India. ``The new dates will be intimated later,'' he said on Thursday.

However, the Khar Gykhmana All-India tournament will be held as per schedule from Aug 6-11.

The 1997 rankings for sub-junior (boys and girls) and cadets (boys and girls):

Sub-junior boys: Subam Choudhary (Bengal) 1, Ranbir Das (Bengal) 2, Subhajit Saha (PSCB) 3, Chandrachud (PSCBA) 4, Amit Das (Bengal) 5, Jayanth Chandra (Bengal) 6, Danmay Dutta (Bengal) 7, Chakravarthy (Bengal) 8.

Sub-jr girls: Mouma Das (Bengal) 1, Mallika Parekh (Maharashtra) 2, Sushmitha Roy (Bengal) 3, Mili Muzumdar (Bengal) 4, Nandita Saha (Bengal) 5, Prasanna (Tamil Nadu) 6, BM Ashwini (Karnataka) 7, Moushmi Pal (Bengal) 8, Debrathi Sarkar (Bengal) 9.
