BANGALORE, July 26: Karnataka schools are likely to have folklore as part of their curriculum if the plan of the Karnataka Janapada and Yakshagana Academy to appoint honorary folklore teachers in primary and secondary institutions materialises. The Academy has planned the step as it feels it necessary to create an interest in folklore in young minds, in order to counter the threat posed by globalisation and modernisation.
