CHANDIGARH, Aug 3: The Punjab and Haryana High Court today adjourned "sine die" all the review petitions pending with it in respect of its July 9 directive on traffic regulations. The court, however, adjourned till tomorrow the case pertaining to the plea of the Chandigarh Administration seeking more time for implementation of HC directives after it put forward certain inquiries pertaining to demolitions.
CHANDIGARH, Aug 3: The Punjab and Haryana High Court today adjourned "sine die" all the review petitions pending with it in respect of its July 9 directive on traffic regulations. The court, however, adjourned till tomorrow the case pertaining to the plea of the Chandigarh Administration seeking more time for implementation of HC directives after it put forward certain inquiries pertaining to demolitions.
Justice Swatantar Kumar, while taking up the review petitions, including those by the SGPC and others, adjourned these in view of the Supreme Court stay on the implementation of HC directives granted to the Chandigarh Administration on its special leave petition.
The Supreme Court had stayed the implementation of the July 9 High Court judgment on traffic regulations, which included a ban on use of red lights, black films and glasses and making helmets compulsory for women.
