CHANDIGARH, Aug 6: The residents of Manimajra Modern Housing Complex have been a harassed lot because of the inadequate supply of drinking water over the last couple of weeks.
The crisis became more acute this week as the water pressure decreased considerably, following which the over-head storage tanks on four-storeyed flats remained dry. Very often the pressure of water was not sufficient even to meet the requirements of the residents even on the ground floor.
They alleged that innumerable complaints made to the authorities have not resulted any solution to the problem.
The electricity supply was reportedly erratic for the same days. The electricity failure at around 8 pm has become a routine feature, affecting the students' study adversely.
The officials attributed it to the local fault. Step to locate the fault has already been initiated and the supply would be normalised soon.
