No frills: Naked poetry will bare the poet, all of him
London is hosting an international poetry festival this month which will bare it all. The first international festival of naked poetry, organised by the Institute of Contemporary Studies (ICA), will bring together a group of poets who will bare their bodies before reading poetry.

Taking mystery out of myths
The Garden of Eden has been found, the plagues of Egypt have been identified as an ancient viral epidemic and King Arthur has been located in Cornwall. Someone is taking the myth. David Rohl, an archaeologist at University College London, claims to have located the biblical Garden of Eden.

German scientists recreate beginning of life on earth
In a sensational laboratory experiment, two German scientists have succeeded in recreating the beginning of life. It seems that the cradle of humanity and all other living things in the world was not the "small, warm pond" envisaged by the evolutionist Charles Darwin.
