Lights, camera... will Clinton cling on to semantics?
The most common word in America these days? Yuck. The Gross National Product of the United States? Bill Clinton. As one of the tawdriest sex scandals in history nears another climactic moment much of America is holding its breath to see how the leader of the free world -- nicknamed free willie -- will come out of a hole he has seemingly dug for himself.

Kashmir support to continue -- Sharif
Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif marked Pakistan's 51st independence anniversary on Friday with a pledge of continued support for separatists fighting India in Kashmir. Speaking in Islamabad, Sharif said that violence in Kashmir "would force India to come to the negotiation table".

US denies bid to halt inspections in Iraq
The United States strenuously disputed Friday a report that it had demanded a halt to surprise UN weapons inspections in Iraq in order to dodge a possible military confrontation with Iraqi President Saddam Hussein. The Washington Post said on Friday that Albright urged Butler in a telephone call to scrap secret orders for the team to mount "challenge inspections" at two Iraqi sites suspected of holding forbidden weapons.
