Home Minister L K Advani has assured the Congress that references to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi continued to be as before in the action taken report on the final report of the Jain Commission.

Jethmalani asks CBI to probe Swamy's charges
Janata Party leader Subramanian Swamy's allegations against Urban Affairs Minister Ram Jethmalani have brought into fore the simmering differences between the Minister and senior officials of his Ministry. In a strongly worded letter to CBI Director Trinath Mishra, Jethmalani, while requesting the latter to have the charges levelled against him be officially investigated, accused "some disgruntled officers'' in his department of passing on "stolen'' official papers to Swamy.
