Nap Imperial Scholar

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE

MUMBAI, Sept 10: Robert Foley trained Imperial Scholar has the best credentials to win the 1600 metres Maharaja's Gold Cup, a rich terms race for four-year olds and over, the main event of the races programmed for Friday.

Imperial Scholar had been a noteworthy performer in the classics last year and considering the fact that last win over seven furlongs was impressive despite the trip being sharp for his style of running, he should relish the present extended trip. Consul's Secret who finished thrice in his last two outings seems to have made good improvement and he is expected to stretch the favourite.

The first race is at 2.30 pm.
