NEW DELHI, September 22: Malsawmdawng's five-goal effort helped Electric Veng Middle (Mizoram) defeat Government Boys Senior Secondary School (New Delhi) in the Subroto Cup football tournament at Ambedkar Stadium here today.
His goals came in the 14th, 19th, 25th, 35th and 37th minutes of the match.
Vanlalng Haka scord twice in Sector IX A, +2 High School's 3-0 win over Anjuman High School (Maharashtra). Durga got the third goal in the 43rd minute to complete the tally.
In another match, Sibsingh Memorial High School (Meghalaya) defeated Tyndale Biscoe School (Jammu) 2-1. MS Diengdoh and H Lyngkhoi scored a goal ach in the ninth and 30th minute. Durga scored in the 43rd minute to complete th tally.
The match between St Kabir High School (Chandigarh) and Saini Higher Scondary School (Haryana) was abandoned because of heavy rain.
The match will be replayed.
