Red alert in Bihar as RJD calls for bandh
The Bihar administration Tuesday sounded a red alert in view of Wednesday's state-wide bandh called by the ruling Rashtriya Janata Dal in protest against the Centre's move to impose President's Rule.
SC "puts on hold" CVC ordinance
The Supreme Court on Tuesday directed the Union Government not to implement the August 25 ordinance, granting statutory status to the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) till the disposal of a challenge made to its validity before the court.
