MIT enter quarters

PUNE, Sept 24: Maharashtra Institute of Technology (MIT) shrugged off fighting Marathwada Mitramandal College of Commerce (MMCC) by an odd goal in three to enter the quarter-finals of the IME Inter-Collegiate football tournament at the ILS Law College ground today.

MIT opened their account through Raghunandan Chaure in the 7th minute of play but saw their lead last just two minutes as MMCC's Rajesh Verma netted to equalise. The match-winner, was netted by Shishir Shroff to help MIT go ahead.

MIT, were joined by Symbiosis Law, and Ness Wadia in the last-eight.
