Parshant stars in Gurgaon win

NEW DELHI, October 6: Fine batting by Parshant Ahlawat (50 not out) and Bhuvnesh (32 not out) helped Gurgaon beat Karnal by nine wickets in the Haryana stste inter-district cricket tournament for the Pataudi Trophy at Gurgaon, according to reports reaching here.

Karnal were dismissed for 94 in 30.3 overs. Gurgaon replied with 91 for the loss of one wicket. Gurgaon will take on Chandigarh in the semifinal to be played at Gurgaon on Wednesday.

Brief Scores: Karnal: 94 in 30.3 overs (Sanjay Saini 21, Joginder 13, Surinder Katariya 3 for 13, Rishi Khanna 2 for 10, Narender Sidhu 2 for 14, Tajinder Mann 2 for 14, Sonu Sharma 1 for 14).
Gurgaon: 97 for 1 (Parshant Ahlawat 50 not out, Bhuvnesh Sharma 32 not out).
