10% duty on carbon black

NEW DELHI, October 12: India has imposed a 10 per cent safeguard duty on carbon black imported under open general licence till February 28, 1999. A notification issued by the revenue department of the finance ministry said the duty would not be applicable to carbon black imports under advance licence, which is against the export of rubber goods.Copyright © 1998 Indian Express Newspapers (Bombay) Ltd.
