VADODARA, Oct 12: Granting leave to teachers and allocation of Ph D degrees to a few students were among the few decisions taken at the Syndicate meeting of the M S University held on Monday.This was the first syndicate meeting to have been chaired by MSU Vice Chancellor Anil Kane. The earlier meeting was adjourned.
Talking to Express Newsline In-charge Registrar of the university N Pandya said, ``Syndicate members have applauded the effort of the Oriental Institute to have conducted such a conference after a gap of so many years.'' He added that the members also brought up the proposals forwarded by the deans of the faculty earlier about the various celebrations to be hosted during the golden jubilee year.
According to Syndicate members, no decision had yet been taken about the appointments of head of various departments. Also, no decision was reached on the ongoing differences between the head of the department and the dean of the Faculty of Education.
