Paes-Bhupathi win Shangai Open
India's world number three pair of Mahesh Bhupathi and Leander Paes today stunned the top-ranked duo of Todd Woodbridge and Mark Woodforde to lift the title in the doubles of the Shangai Open ATP tournament. The Indians defeated the top-seeded Australians Woodbridge and Woodforde 6-4, 6-7 (7-2), 7-6 (7-4) to notch up their first win over the famed pair, in four attempts, in a gripping two hours and 46 minutes.

Yougsters excel
Barring the two discus throwers, Ukraine's Vitaliy Sidorov and Belarussian Ludmila Filimonova, the rest of the foreign participation was a big letdown at the second Raja Bhalendra Singh International meet in Delhi. Still the good news was that the established stars got a wake-up call from their younger rivals. Gulab Chand inflicted on national record holder Bahadur Prasad a defeat in the 1,500m.
