CHANDIGARH, Oct 14: DAV Senior Secondary School-8 thrashed Government Senior Secondary School-38, 33-9 to reach the final of the Chandigarh State Inter-School under-19 boys handball event at Government Model School-23 here today.In the second semifinal, SGGS-35 outplayed Govt High School-26, 22-14 to lock horns with DAV-8.
In the basketball event being played at Shivalik Public School-41, SD School-32 beat GMSSS-19, 32-9, in a one-sided encounter to move into the last four stage of the under-19 section.
In another match SPS-41 defeated Guru Nanak Public School-36, 22-17 to get a berth into the semifinal.
