In the first semi-final tomorrow, Mahindras will take on Group A winners Air India in an all-Mumbai affair. Mahindras finished second in Group B with six points from two wins and one loss while East Bengal topped the group with seven points.

As both East Bengal and Mahindras had already made it to the last four, today's match was a mere formality with the only importance being that it had to decide who meets who in the semi-finals.

Seeing Mahindras' laid back attitude, East Bengal decide to do the scoring and their Ghanaian striker Sulley Musah netted the all-important goal.
