VADODARA, Oct 27: Two hardcore criminals have been arrested by the Detection of Crime Branch (DCB) and two country-made pistols with `Made in Japan' mark and 20 rounds of ammunitions recovered from their possession.On a tip off, a police party led by DCB PI R.A. Munshi trapped Zardullah Khan alias Mehtab Khan alias Raju Khan near Ekta Nagar slums, off Ajwa Road, on Monday afternoon. Both the weapons and ammunitions were seized from him. Khan is a resident of Dahod.
Following the interrogation of Khan, DCB sleuths arrested Nisarkhan Pathan, a resident of Chishtia Nagar near Chhani tax barrier, in the evening.
During preliminary interrogation, the two admitted their involvement in several cases of loot and murder in Dahod and Ahmedabad. They also divulged their hand in looting of Rs 5 lakh from a businessman on Relief Road in Ahmedabad five years ago. Pathan told the police that he used to provide shelter in Vadodara to Khan who is wanted by Dahod police.
Munshi said that the two criminals were in police custody for seven days and further investigations were on.
