Vehicle thefts
In separate cases of vehicle theft registered by the police, two vehicles were stolen from different parts of the city on Tuesday. One Komal Singh Lekhraj Singh Thakore, a resident of Industrial Society near Channi tax barrier, complained to the police that his Sunny moped (GJ-8-F-319) worth Rs 3,000 was stolen from outside Kamatibaug. In another case, Sukhvir Singh Hoshiar Singh Chaudhary of Jalaram Apartment on Harni Road, lodged a complaint with the police that his truck (GQB 6211) worth Rs 2 lakh was stolen from near Hot Mix Plant on Harni Road. Investigations are on.

Case registered
The Wadi police have registered a case against one Risaben, wife of Bharatbhai Ramanbhai Sadhu, a resident of Ranmukteshwar Road Raj Mandir, for trying to commit suicide by consuming insecticide. According to the police, the woman tried to end her life because of the financial crisis the family had been undergoing.

Liquor seized
The police seized 43 litres of country liquor worth Rs 910 and registered cases against 10 people under the Anti-Prohibition Act.
