Two gangsters picked up from Adarsh Nagar
The northwest district police have arrested two gangsters of the Kari Paswan gang of Bihar. The Adarsh Nagar police had raided a suspected hideout and apprehended Oma Yadav, 28 and Sita Ram Yadav, 25.

Kari Paswan is reportedly in the Capital now and is believed to have `high political connections' according to the police. Two country-made revolvers and three live rounds have been recovered from their possession. On interrogation, the police said that they admitted to have been involved in 12 cases of murder, dacoity, inter-gang shootouts and several cases of rape.

ITPO security officer shot at
Two unidentified persons shot at the Indian Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) chief security officer in Defence Colony this morning. Vijay Kumar, a resident of A-209 escaped the attack. The police suspect the involvement of a servant who had apparently been sacked by Vijay Kumar a few days ago.

The police said that Kumar was leaving for his office by car when the two assailants shot at him with their country made pistol. The shot reportedly hit the tree under which the victim's car was parked.

Five held for double murder
Five persons were arrested for their alleged involvement in a double murder case in Dabri on the intervening night of October 23 and 24. The accused, Pappu Thakur, Surendra, Vijay, Ashok and Sanjay Himachali have been arrested under the charges of murder by the Dabri police.Rivalry between two gangs was the motive behind the killings, according to the police. 4 Lamas held with forged passports nFour Tibetan Lamas, including a woman, were held while trying to leave the country on forged Nepali passports.
