PANCHKULA, Oct 29: "To bring about a radical change in society and rescue the nation from the clutches of corrupt forces, a sacrifice on part of the good elements has become essential." This was stated by Sudhanshuji Maharaj, a spiritual leader, at a press conference today. On the political situation, he said that the state of affairs was bad since the people did not have a leader of their choice to bring to power. "That perhaps is the reason no political party is getting clear majority and we are having coalition governments," he said.Speaking about himself, Sudhanshuji Maharaj revealed that he belonged to Saharanpur and he got his education there. Later on, he went to Uttarkashi for meditation. "As a child I used to collect children and preach. And I remember a time when I was in college and was actually against preachers," he said.
Emphasising upon the need for "more capable" leaders in the country, he said that people needed to rise above personal interests and work for the welfare of the nation.
Speaking about his own way of spreading the message of Almighty, Sudhanshuji Maharaj said: "In my capacity as a spiritual leader I have tried to familiarise the public with epics other than Mahabharta, Geeta and Ramayana. Teachings of ancient philosophers and leaders have been studied in depth and I am passing on the message through my preachings".
Through ancient teachings and epics, an attempt is also being made to unite the whole nation, since the teachings of the north are being preached in south as well and vice versa, he added.
