Expert calls for industry support to biotechnology
Biotechnology will have a major impact on world economy during the coming decade and India will have to make massive efforts for the commercialisation of scientific and technological developments in applied biological and engineering sciences, Vivek Singhal , President of All India Biotech Association said.

Panic-stricken people are purchasing salt in different parts of Tripura today following reports of shortage and a hike in prices in Delhi and various other states.

Peppered by rumours, salt "crisis" spreads
The Government and salt manufacturers today rushed to quell the panic over a possible salt shortage with assurances of adequate stocks and promised to ``flood'' the markets with the commodity to prevent a scarcity.
