Delhi Chief Minister Sushma Swaraj has accused the Congress of having hatched a conspiracy to defame her before the Assembly elections by fabricating stories of links with Romesh Sharma, alleged frontman of Dubai-based don Dawood Ibrahim.
Patel, Gowda unite to fight no-trust move
The Karnataka Janata Dal crisis has appeared to have blown over for the moment with Chief Minister JH Patel and his detractor HD Deve Gowda agreeing to a meeting of the Dal Legislature Party on Nov 13 while closing ranks to defeat an opposition-sponsored no-confidence motion now being discussed in the Assembly.
Karnataka JD crisis persists despite truce
The warring factions in the Karnataka Janata Dal have agreed to call a meeting of the legislature party on November 13 but the crisis looked far from over with the leadership question still remaining open.
