Crown for APS, Springdales
Army Public School won the APS inter-school basketball championship in the boys section defeating Agriculture School (Khera Garhi) 71-63. Manish Sanghwan (22) and Gajinder Singh (20) were the top scorers for the winners while Hemant and Ashok (16 each) contributed for the losers.Springdales School (Pusa Road) clinched the girls section title drubing JD Tytler School 49-38. Tanya Ahuja (14) and Chetna Gulati (9) scored for Springdales while Neha Mayur (20) and Gunjan Malhotra (8) scored for the JD Tytler. Manish Sangwan (APS) and Neha Mayur (JD Tytler) were declared best players of the tournament in boys and girls section, respectively.
Title for SV
Sarvodaya Vidyalaya (Dhaka) won the boys title in the Vidyawati Alagh memorial volleyball tournament defeating Ramjas School No. 4 (Paharganj) 16-14, 16-14, 8-15, 15-3 at Mira School grounds, Janakpuri. Govt School, Jor Bagh clinched the girls title crushing Govt Girls School (Khyala No. 1) 15-13, 15-9, 15-7. Surjeet Singh of Dhaka School and Anita were adjudged the best players of the tournament in boys and girls sections, respectively.

Deadly bowling by Anil Arora (3 for 15) helped Oriental Bank of Commerce beat Ministry of I&B by 22 runs in C division of DDCA league at Kotla 2.

Fine spell of bowling by Rajesh (4 for 8) and fine batting by Anil Rana (51) enabled Delhi Police overwhelm Delhi Blues by seven wickets in the Hari Singh Tyagi TYCA league at Yamuna sports complex.

Modern School (Barakhamba Road) defeated holders Mt St Mary's School 4-3 in semifinal of Jatin Bedi Memorial football tournament at St Stephen's College ground.
In another semifinal, Delhi Public School (RK Puram) outwitted Delhi Public School (Mathura Rd) 5-2 in a tie-breaker.
DPS triumph
Delhi Public School (Vasant Kunj) prevailed over Tissot Academy by 46 runs in the Shanti Cup (under-18) league-cum-knockout at Shanti sports club.

Annual sports day
Cambridge Foundation School, Rajouri Garden, will be organising its annual function on November 13 at 6.30 p.m. at the school premises. The function will be mark ed with pageantry and sports events by the students.
