Sonia likens '84 riots to Partition
Congress president Sonia Gandhi has given a different twist to the 1984 anti-Sikh riots issue by drawing a parallel between the Delhi tragedy and the 1947 Partition tangle and thus hurling the contentious issue into another orbit.

Pakistan is a terrorist state, declares Advani
Even as India and Pakistan continue their talks in the capital, Union Home Minister L K Advani has lashed out at what he called Pakistan's attempt to spread "anarchy and instability'' all over the country. Calling Pakistan a "terrorist state,'' he said that states would have to enact their own laws to deal with the activities of Pakistan's intelligence agency, ISI.

Pre-poll murder rocks Capital
With polls just two weeks away and already facing criticism on several fronts, the ruling BJP has been put on the defensive with the capital's first election-related murder on Tuesday night. Ved Singh, Samata Party nominee from the Nangloi Jat constituency in North-West Delhi, was killed in Mundka, the native village of former Chief Minister Sahib Singh.
