Mamata gets veiled invitation to return to Congress fold
In the backdrop of a chill in ties between Trinamool Congress and the BJP, working president of West Bengal Congress Priya Ranjan Dasmunshi has extended an open invitation to Mamata Banerjee to return to the parent party fold.

BJP expels Saklecha, four other MP rebels
The Bhartiya Janata Party has expelled five dissidents including Madhya Pradesh former chief minister Virendra Kumar Saklecha from the party for contesting as independents against the official party candidate. BJP sources said that disciplinary action had been taken by the state party president Nand Kumar Sai against Virendra Kumar Saklecha, who is contesting from Jawad in Neemuch district.

Independents' threat to CM on Krishna waters
Close on the heels of reports that seventeen independent MLAs are on their way back to the Congress, a banner of revolt has been raised by independent MLA from Kavathe Mahankal, Ajit Ghorpade, over the issue of Krishna waters.
