Battle royale: Tipu's kin vs Wakf Board
A family of five, which has moved into a portion of the historic Gumbaz in Srirangapatna -- which houses the tombs of the Tipu Sultan and his father Hyder Ali -- has become the cynosure of all eyes in the fort town here. The reason: The family claims to be descendants of Tipu Sultan.

Much-married conman in a knotty tangle
A swindler, aged 65, who married a girl from Nagpur after pretending to be a NRI businessman and later disappeared with her money, was arrested by Ranapratap Nagar police recently. The suspect had married another girl at Bangalore and relieved her of cash worth Rs 1.2 lakh, police said.
