Channel [V] declares awards for people "behind the scene"
Channel [V] announced their Industry Awards, a new category recognising the work of people behind the scenes, on Sunday. The category included awards for best print and TV ad campaigns, best album packaging and best album launch among others.

Meteor may give clues on origin of life
The celestial spectacle of Leonid meteor showers, set to enter the earth's atmosphere tomorrow, is likely to provide vital clues on the origin of life of the planet. The shooting stars from the constellation Leo, which return every 33 years, are expected to sparkle in the night sky with a brighter and more spectacular display of showers than earlier visits.

DD, satellite channels to go off air tonight
Doordarshan and several satellite television channels will take their programmes off the air for a few hours tonight to stave off adverse effects of the meteoroid shower accompanying the Tempel-Tuttle Comet.
