PUNE, Nov 24: Wasim Jaffer, who scored an impressive 180 against Gujarat in the Ranji Trophy match at the Wankhede Stadium today, was selected to represent India A in the first two Test matches against West Indies `A' at Bangalore and Chennai respectively.
Pune's Hrishikesh Kanitkar will lead the India `A' team. Talking to the reporters, the secretary of the Board for Control of Cricket in India, Jayant Lele said, ``the team for the one-dayers will be selected in Chennai during the second Test to be played there.''
With regard to the omission of Sairaj Bahutule, who is leading the India Youth team here, and spinner Nilesh Kulkarni, he stated that as they had failed to impress so they were not considered.
The Bangalore Test will be played from November 28 to December 1 while the Chennai match is scheduled to be held from December 4-7.
