It's the silence of the lambs
As far as India is concerned, human rights international monitoring agencies of the United Nations are clearly not doing their job. Under the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, the attorney-general of India who presents the country report is never asked questions on issues for which data is available publicly.

Politics in an image trap
Talking to the people in a democracy is tricky business. But never more so than in an election, that final arbiter of political destiny. Today silence reigns after what was in many ways one of the shrillest, most bitter election campaigns of recent times.

The nowhere children
