Graft cases: Supreme Court gives nod for Jaya's trial
The Supreme Court on Thursday cleared decks for commencement of the full-fledged trial of AIADMK supremo Jayalalitha, her erstwhile cabinet colleagues and some senior bureaucrats in certain corruption cases by three Chennai special courts.
Violence mars Bharuch poll
The Lok Sabha by-election to the Bharuch seat yesterday saw a 60 per cent turnout, with several incidents of violence reported from different areas. The Election Commission is expected to order a re-poll in the Rajgadh Bagha polling booth following reports of booth-capturing.
