AHMEDABAD, DEC 6: Memoranda of understanding (MoUs) worth US $ 2.83 billion were signed between Gujarat based companies and various foreign companies at the three-day ``Intechmart-98 Gujarat'' here.
Additional chief secretary of Gujarat government C Koshy told today that nearly 71 MoUs were signed. Of the MoUs, 13 were signed with US companies, four with Canadian companies and 18 with European countries.
He said 29 of the MoUs were signed by small and medium industries and the rest by large companies including 22 MoUs in the infrastructure sector. Out of 280 proposals received, only 158 were short-listed and it would be an on-going exercise, Koshy said.
