MUMBAI, DEC 16: Former Shiv Sainik Sudhakar Lone (42) was shot dead at Dilima Street, near Dockyard Road Station, at around 8.30 pm today by three unidentified persons.
According to the police, Lone was going home in a taxi from Juhu, when the assailants opened fire.
Lone received six bullet injuries and was declared dead on admission to J J Hospital.
The police is questioning the taxi driver, reportedly the only eye-witness to the shootout.
Police said Lone was travelling with two acquaintances, who were not identified.
The acquaintances were sitting in the front seat, police added. Details were not available at the time of going to press.
